The Angel Inn at Hetton, not far from Lower Wharfedale, has a restaurant  evenings and Sunday lunch] though even the bar meals are more of the quality and type associated with a quality restaurant. The fixed price menu in the restaurant is £29 for three courses in the evenings and £19 for Sunday lunch.

The bar brasserie has individually priced dishes and you can settle for a bowl of home-made soup - though you probably won't.

However, if you are looking for a little known rural retreat, go somewhere else as the Angel has been written up a lot and gets very full. Booking is advised at the restaurant. As this is not possible for the bar brasserie, it pays to be waiting for opening time especially on friday when fresh fish is served.
