Barcelona And Catalonia Catalonia is situated under the French border and is a very prosperous region. In the north you find the Pyrenees which end in the famous white coastline of the Costa Brava. The biggest single attraction in Catalonia is the city of Barcelona. It is a fun city, with lots of great sights. Furthermore, the region offers good beaches ( Sitges) where one can sun and tan as well as great hiking opportunities in the hinterland. Good options to bring a vistit are Montserrat, Tarragona, Figueres and the very popular place for the youth Salou.
