Novgorod You can get to Novgorod by rail or air from St Petersburg or Moscow. The town is about 160 km southeast of St Petersburg. You can take the bus No 2 from the Bus Station, Naberezhnaya Obvodnovo Kanala 36, which runs every two hours. In total the journey takes three hours.
