Alassio

Alassio is a beautiful resort facing the Ligurian Sea, on the coast of the West Ligurian Riviera, in the province of Savona. Alassio, situated in the area called "Riviera delle Palme" is the pearl of the so-called Baia del Sole (Sun-Bay). It has 11.500 inhabitants, but the large number of summer tourists allow to reach up to 50.000. It takes around two hours to get to important towns such as Milan ( 245 km) and Turin (195 km), while it takes just a few minutes to reach Genoa (95 km), Savona (50 km), Imperia (24 km) and Sanremo (48). At about 50 km is the border between Italy and France: you'll need just one hour to get to Montecarlo or Nice. You can easily reach Alassio by any means of transport: by car (A 10 motor-way Genoa - Ventimiglia, gate Albenga), by train (Railway Station in the centre of Alassio) and airport (Genoa).
