CerialeMany festivals and "sagras" are held specially on summertime. The most famous is the "Landing of the Turks" to commemorate every year, at the beginning of July, that in 1637 the town was attacked by Barbary pirates, who sacked and burned it and ordered the deportation of the entire population. The festival is held with a costume parade. Another interesting appointment is the important cultural festival staged there in the summer, culminating in a book fair, the "Peagna Ligurian book Festival" at "Casa Girardenghi" in Peagna, a small village in the immediate hinterland of Ceriale accessible by a road and a means of a narrow and gently sloping alley, lined with pots of geraniums and basil. Here national - and sometime international - experts are present to meetings and debates about the old customs, dialects and uses, coordinated by the man - "Prof. Franco Gallea", a deep and genuine "conosseurs" of Ligurian History and other thousand things - who created the event many years ago and founded the "Amici di Peagna" association. Other events include film evenings always with LIguria subjects. At the "Le Caravelle", a real paradise for all lovers of aquafun, sea-waves swimming pool and many other attractions during summertime are held many events. Concerts are held on open air together with many local religious feasts and "sagras" during summertime.
