Albenga The town has really many restaurants and pizza's all'around where you can eat very well and in many cases not expensive. It is quite difficult to mention some of them so - speaking in many cases for direct experience - and just to talk about pizza you have to go to "Le Anfore" just near the cathedral. It is also a restaurant run by a family and their food is always genuine, really tasty and paying the right price. Just outside the center you find the "Rapalline" (Regione Rapalline 49) another genuine and family run restaurant with Ligurian and Tuscan specialities and good wines. Fish is very good and not so expensive at "Franco"'s. If you do not mind the money and you want make yourself a present go to "Minisport", near the railway station. It is expensive the for fish and wine is one of the best and the service is superb. If you want to really "breath" the salty air together with Albingaunum history you should go before you live to the restaurant at the beginning of "The Via Julia". The scenario and the peace of the ancient roman ruines around together with the green and the trees is just worth a part of the bill. A large choice of man-made ice cremas is served in almost every "gelateria". Nearby to conclude the evening in a disco "Le vele" was one the trendy places in town last summer and it is just on sea front the Gallinara park island.
