Skerries Skerries is a nice suprise when you see some of the ham-fisted urban planning that goes on in the Dublin Commuter Belt. it still feels like a victorian fishing village and its on the train to Dublin. There are nice walks around the coast and the architecture is a good blend of Georgian to Edwardian. There are plenty of pubs to tickle your fancy but the 'stoop your head' is a good gastro-pub. There's a nice wine shop near the Super-Valu whose name escspes me but it has a good selection of vino. The only bad thing in Skerries is the selection of chip-shops. No only do they sell truly dreadful muck passing as food but they should have guns and masks on given the prices they charge.
