Inis-meain Food on the island is organically grown. The local crops are fertilised with seaweed and the sandy soil gives a distinctive taste to local produce. LUNCH The Hotel does an excellent pub lunch. Tigh Conghaile (on the hill above the pier) is also to be recommended. The bar does light snacks such as toasted sandwitches. DINNER The restaurant in the Hotel is called Snappers and has won awards for its fare. Naturally the sea-food is to be recommeded. Tigh Conghaile also provides evening meals and An DĂșn (in the middle of the island) has a superb evening menu.
