Agios Sostis/lithakia just to the west of noisy and brash laganas lies this much quieter and smaller resort. you can walk to here either along the seafront or the roads through the olive groves and enjoy the quiet beach or the tavernas. Lithakia has just one main street running along the seafront, which has a variety of hotels/apartments facing onto it. One of the better ones to visit is Hotel Arkadianos, which has a nice restaurant and an on-site mini-supermarket as well. Venture down to the beach and you'll be able to take speed boat out to the island in the bay - the driver will take you around the island and even offer to drop you off on one of the beaches and pick you up later. Kindly refuse the offer - its probably safer to do this beach drop-off thing if you are part of bigger travel group. Having said that Lithakia is a hidden gem on Zante - only 15 minutes walk from the bustle of Laganas, so you've got the best of both worlds - the hedonism of Laganas in easy reach, next to the peace and tranquility of Lithakia.
