Mittenwald

Mittenwald is one of the bestknown touristik places in the Bavarian Alps, in Karwendel- and Wettersteinmassiv, between Garmisch-Partenkirchen (6km) and Innsbruck - Austria (30km).The Karwendel mountaintop with his 2385 m. gives the visitor a breathtaking panorama vieuw. Absolutely to visit: the violinmuseum. Matthias Klotz was here a famous violinmaker in the 17°century and the violins they still produce are famous worldwide. A speciality worth seeing in Mittenwald are the outside walls of many houses who ware decorated with paintings, often bible figures.
