Nancy As a ducal city and a European crossroads, Nancy was always coveted in the past but also knew how to attract real talents. Architects and artists modelled it, plural and unique. The most stunning example of the rich cultural past of Nancy is the Place Stanislas, right in the center of town. Richly decorated this is an impressive place to be. Other highlights include the Montaigu castle and many examples of Art Nouveau houses. Just outside of Nancy, the chateau of Fleville is well worth a visit too. It is one of the finest renaissance castles in the East of France.
