Corse Corse is located at the heart of Corsica and marks the natural boundary between the northern and southern part of Corsica. It became the capital of Corsica when it saw independence for only fourteen years, from 1755 until 1769. The old town citadel houses the Museum of Corsica dedicated to the Corsican history, culture and economy. Because of it’s central location, Corse is a good point from which to explore the nearby mountains.
