Corsica Although Corsica is still ruled by France, one can hardly deny the Italian atmosphere the island exhales. The island is, except for a few cities on the coasts, such as Ajaccio and Bastia , not densely populated. As a result, Corsica still exists of vast areas of unspoiled scenery.
