Punkaharju Punkaharju is some 35 kilometres from Savonlinna and is a beautiful natural area with an old winding road close to the lake. Punkaharju is a town of a few thousand people and there are a few attractions and places to see, for the person who wants to get closer to the Finnish nature. Punkaharju has the famous finnish wood museum, Lusto.
