Samobor

This quaint, charming town is very picturesque and well worth your time. It is only about twenty-five minutes from the eastern end of Zagreb by car, and it is near the Slovenian border.

All within walking distance from the center of town, there is a historical museum (worth the visit), castle ruins on a hilltop, and a pleasant path to walk along, the sights to see including a delightful chapel in the forest.

Also, Samobor is famous for its specialty "cakes," which must be tried! These can be bought in several confection shops in town.
