Puerto Plata Puerto Plata is the main tourist destination in the Dominican Republic. There are wonderful beaches here and all inclusive hotels. Most people who come here eat and drink in their pre booked hotel (All Inclusive). There are also several good restaurants in the area, or you can order a pizza from the Pizza Hut which delivers to the hotel rooms. To discover something of the real Dominican Republic head for Santo Domingo, the capital or inland to Santiago de los Caballeros. To discover splendid natural attractions, or to get used to the country, stay here for a couple of days.
