San Vito

San Vito

San Vito is located in the south of Costa Rica. The town stands almost 1 km above sea level, which means it is cooler than in the jungle around. The town has a sizeable Italian community - it was founded by Italians in the 1950s, who cam to set up coffee plantations. You can stioll get very good Italian food here. San Vito is also a good starting point for a visit to the Wilson Botanical Gardens or the Parque Internacional La Amistad.
