Manuel Antonio Manuel Antonio National Park is a one of the nicest nature reserves of Costa Rica and that is saying a lot. The tropical rain forest continues right to the white sand beaches. Add some monkeys, parrots, toucans, three-toed sloths, more than 350 different birds and you have a small nature lovers paradise. There are good walking trails through the jungle so all of this is easy to find. The beaches are really nice and you can rent equipment to surf or dive in the village. The park is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday except Mondays. Admission is about $8 U.S. dollars
