Sapa

Sapa

Sapa is an old hill station. Don't be surprised, it is a rather cool place due to its location. The city is situated in a beautful valley at 1600m elevation. The city is surrounded by the Hoang Lien Mountains. Some visitors come here to go trekking. No surprise as the hightest mountain of Vietnam can be found in the region. A trek from Sapa to Mount Fansipan takes approx. five days, but some do it in four. There are a number of beautful spots to visit. Among them are the Cloud Bridge (Cau May) and the Silver Falls (Thac Bac). The best time to visit this region is between January and June during the dry season.
