Matheran From Bombay VT i.e. CST Station, You will get the local train which is going towards Karjat. Get down at Neral Station and take your tickets. Neral is the base station for Matheran. For Matheran as on the Hill, You have to take the mini train from Neral. The distance between the Neral and Matheran is about 21 Kms. and takes atleast about 2 hours to reach there. If, You want to move fast- there is a Taxi service also available and charges are Rs: 40 per person. This takes only 20 to 25 minutes. The main attraction of Matheran is that no cars are allowed on this hill station. You have to walk along the railwayline to reach the main station.
