British Indian Ocean Territory The Chagos Archipelago are the main Islands in the B.I.O.T.. Diego Garcia is the only inhabited Island. Only military and cilivian contractors are allowed on Diego Garcia. The outer Islands are visited by boaters from around the world. The British charge a monthly fee for staying there. The Chagos Archipelgo was spared on Dec 26 2005 from the tsunami by the Chagos Trench.
