Taiwan metroTaipei -- new generation of transporation in the Metropolitan Taipei metroTaipei, formerly called Taipei Rapid Transit (TRT), consists of several subway lines and elevated railways. The fare is reasonable, and yet it provides a hassle-free environment for foreign visitors who have no knowledge in Chinese language. All trains, maps, stations and exits systemwide are labeled in both (Traditional) Chinese and English. metroTaipei currently offers five lines: Mucha Line (brown) Chungshan Jr. High School <-> Chunghsiao Hsinsheng <-> Taiepi City Zoo Tamshui Line (red) Tamshui <-> Peitou <-> Taipei Main Station <-> C.K.S. Memorial Hall Since the second phase of network is still under construction, the red and green lines are operating as single lines.
