Suwon Suwon has a rich history since it was founded during the Joseon Dynasty in the 18th century as a fortress city. It's city walls are a world heritage site and it offers a look back at South Korea's past. It's home to Hwaseong Fortress, Woncheon Amusement Park, Everland Amusement Park, The Korean Traditional Folk Village, and various temples and tombs. But Suwon is also tuned in to the future - it is recognised as South Korea's leading city in digital technology.
