Chengdu

With a history of more than 2000 years, Chengdu is full of cultural and historical remains. Du Fu Thatched Cottage, where the famous Tang poet-Du Fu used to live and write his poems, Wuhou Shrine, Tomb of Wang Jian, and WangjiangTower are must-see for tourists. Being the capital city of China's most populated province, Sichuan, Chengdu is an interesting city with interesting people. There are a lot waiting for you to explore. Firstly, tourists are energized by its world famous cuisine, which are never short of pepper and spices.

To get to a quieter place, both the Green City Mountain that is a Taoist center, or the Emei Mountain are ideal destinations outside the city. Further away, 800 to 900km west from the city is Jiuzhaigou, a famous 60,000-hectare primitive forest filled with flowers, lakes, waterfalls, exotic animals such as the giant pandas!
