Erbent Erbent oasis is 156 km away from Ashgabat. It has preserved many of the traditional nomadic customs and handicraft throughout the centuries. Central Karakum is home to the Tazy dogs - a beautiful Turkmen hunting breed similar in shape to Afghan dogs.
