Natal South Coast The Natal "South Coast" is in fact on the eastern (Indian Ocean) seaboard of South Africa. It is probably the most popular holiday destination in South Africa due to the all year around warm climate caused by the Benguela current. From a cost point of view it is also one of the most affordable holiday destinations in South Africa. Temparatures and high humidity levels from December through March make it uncomfortable at that time of the year but almost all hotels are airconditioned if that is a concern to the traveller.
