Ibadan The main attraction of Ibadan is the whole city and the locals. Of course there are particular places to visit such as the palace of the Olubadan (the King) of Ibadan and University of Ibadan which has a zoo, but this is more due to their historical and academic significance than anything else. Ya you Ibadan is still struggling with itself as to whether to be modern and cosmopolitan or ancient and conservative. As a result the city's attempts to bring about modern attractions that abound in Lagos are hardly patronized by the locals and found to be desolate by foreigners. Other sights worth visiting are University of Ibadan Zoological Garden,Agodi Gardens, Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria,Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture. For those who wish to mix with the indigenes during their festivities they should visit Cocoa House, which also has a nice restaurant and a dancing hall for when musicians come to play, Liberty Stadium for lovers of Sports, Ibadan Recreation Centre, Trans Amusement Park and Mapo Hall a historical landmark in the heart of the City.
