Merzouga There is no asphalt road to Merzouga, you go over dirt pistes that are not very well marked. It’s recommended to travel with a group in a land-rover or take a very good map of the area. If you leave from Erfoud, you can go in a land-rover, contact Hotel Ziz or Hotel Tafilalet. You could also join up with other tourists. You can also get there from Rissani by taking a land-rover taxi (best time is around 7 am).
